What's New
Playa Haters Ball
August 23, 2010

I wasn’t sure when it would happen, but I knew it would happen. I’m finally getting hated on by a good amount of people out there via threatening messages, phone calls and now I’ve even been added as a “douche” on “the Dirty”.

Though it’s pretty terrible that our society is full of hatred towards others that are pursuing the good life. It is also a sign that I’ve finally jumped onto the radar of the entertainment scene. I am so honored that people would actually take time out of their busy lives just to tell me how much they want me to die.

Bullets on a Plane
August 12, 2010

The items I took on the plane, minus the live bullet which I lost since the trip. Two weeks ago I mistakenly took bullet shells (22 and shotgun) and a live bullet that were in my backpack on a plane to Orlando. Those items came back with me to Chicago. Not only did Orlando International Airport miss it, but Chicago's O'hare Airport also missed it!

Of course I'm probably kidding right? Nope. All true. A few weeks before my Orlando trip I went to Mt. Carroll, IL to experience my first small town of 1500 people. I learned to fish and shoot a gun. I decided to keep the shells from a few bullets I shot, and one live one. I placed them in my backpack and forgot about it. Three weeks later, I travel to Orlando and back and finally discover I had all these items in my bag. Yes, it's just a bullet, but that doesn't mean it should go unaccounted. Not only that, but I also had an envelope opener in my bag. Which I've had in there for many years and plane rides. I could stab the shit out of someone with that!

Eat an Apple
June 20, 2010

Several people have been asking me about my recent MacBook Pro purchase so I thought why not write up a blog about it and also show how you can save money purchasing it. No, this isn’t an advertisement. Apple products have been so good for me that I might as well write about it.

If you are wondering if an Apple computer is worth buying, I would say hell YES! I have been a Windows user my whole life, but four years ago I saw that you could run Windows on MacBooks along with OSX (Apple’s software that runs on all their computers) and I decided to give it a try.  Yeah, I had to pay a premium price for the MacBook, but it was really a premium product well worth the price of admission. Now, I rarely use Windows. 98% of everything I do is on OSX, but sometimes I have to still launch Windows, which personally sucks!

Spring Cleaning
May 16, 2010

I finally took some time to start working on upgrades to the site. Mainly a way for me to edit content faster and be able to promote shows through tweets, etc. using a robot. Yeah I said it. It's the future bitches.

Anyway, look forward to more content updates. I have a lot of other ideas in store and hopefully I can present you with everything in the near future.

If you have issues with anything on the site, please feel free to report it to me. Thanks!

Success at Festival of India in Austin
April 27, 2010

Some of the best South Asian comics (including myself) performed at Festival of India on April 23rd, and the show was deemed a success.

The auditorium was packed with hundreds of South Asians, and some white people. This was weird for me because I had never performed in front of an all brown crowd before. It was overwhelming, yet at the same time I was proud to be contributing to the show.

There's a good article written up about the show by Vaibhav Jain at Nazar Online. Click here to check it out.

Comedy Crush in Oswego, IL
January 11, 2010

I was performing out in Oswego and realized that a girl who just added me on Facebook was in the front row causing mischief. Watch what happens when people stop getting polite, and start getting real....Real World Oswego.

Goals
January 01, 2010

So I think I have done a great job at accomplishing what I set to do in 2009. Things I did last year:

- Started doing Stand Up
- Completed most of my classes at iO Chicago. I'm in the final class in 2010 with performances set for March.
- Performed at 55 Stand Up/Improv shows.
- Hosted at The Improv in Schaumburg.
- Participated in a Comedy Competition.
- Produced my own comedy event.
- and so much more!

2010 will be bigger and badder and I plan on taking my second year of stand up to a higher level.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, friends, fans, producers, etc. Without you I would not be where I am.

Weekend at The Improv
August 09, 2009

What a weekend?! I was chosen to Emcee all the shows at The Improv in Schaumburg this weekend (Thur-Sun). The headliner for the shows was Angelo Tsarouchas and the feature was Sean Flannery.

It was a great weekend and it was a blast working with them. I'm working on getting booked for other shows within the Chicagoland area as well as Milwaukee, etc. I'll keep everyone posted!

Success!!
July 30, 2009

I zoomed through Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston and New York in the last couple of weeks and it was GREAT!!!

I racked up 2,573 miles and did 10+ open mics/shows. Met a lot of great people and came up with a ton of material.

Thank you for everyone's help along the way!

I'm off to the North East
July 09, 2009

I'm heading off on a road trip through Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York.

I'm hoping to get a few guest spots in any of those cities. We'll see I guess. If you or anyone you know has a hook up in any of those areas, be sure to contact me and let me know.

Peace Love and Sadiq

Traveling the Northeast
June 15, 2009

I'm working on a road trip through some Northeast cities and hoping to secure gigs throughout. Regardless, I'm planning on traveling through Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Cleveland, etc. So if you're around those areas and want to get notified when I'm out there, remember to sign up for the mailing list.

This trip is still being worked out, so I'll update as soon as I have concrete answers.

New Stand Up Clip
May 20, 2009

So I was in Nashville, being the brown person I am, and this is what happens:

Obama and Sykes were hilarious!
May 10, 2009

The White House Correspondence Dinner took place last weekend and there was a mini roast of the media, politicians, etc. Both Obama and Wanda Sykes were hilarious. I'm posting the link to Obama's (part 1). I suggest you find the others on YouTube because it was hilarious.

Shows and Shows
April 09, 2009

If you were planning on coming out and watching a set, I have a Stand Up show coming up on May 2nd. Though I'm hoping to land a few more spots throughout the city at other venues. I'll keep everyone in the loop.

Also, I'm currently training in Musical Improv at iO Chicago and we have a show planned for May 21st. I'm excited because the only thing funnier than improvising is singing while you're improvising. It'll be a FREE show!

Vroom Vroom Party Starter
April 07, 2009

Oh I love this commercial. Even though it aired a long while ago. Conan is hilarious!

Drug Wars, Penal System. Come On!
April 01, 2009

It pisses me off that, in this country, we can't have a real discussion about illegal drugs. I understand that they are bad for you, ruin people's lives, etc. However, I don't think that just arresting people and making them criminals is the right solution. The market for illegal substances is not going to go away. Not only that, the demand for it will cause more of what's happening on the Mexico border.

More money spent on processing people who like to get high, who are no different than people who like to get drunk. More money into fighting meaningless wars. More money on destroying people's lives.

If we could control the drugs, and administer them just like prescription drugs, and legalize marijuana, this would save billions of dollars and MAKE billions of dollars. Maybe even educate people, with FACTS. Okay. Maybe that's asking "too much", but can we at least have a discussion on the issue?

During Obama's online town hall meeting, the question with the highest votes didn't even get a real answer:

Scared of the FBI
March 25, 2009

While I'm on a roll, here's a clip from a Stand-Up show that I did recently. I love being brown.

Robotic License Plate
March 25, 2009

I uploaded part of an improv performance that I did. Though I don't know how funny it would be for people who weren't at the whole show. Since it all starts with one suggestion at the beginning and the part I added is midway through.

I guess you'll have to take the crowd's laughter as a queue to laugh.

The site has finally launched!!!
March 22, 2009

It took some time, but it finally happened. Originally it was planned to launch in January, but this economy fucked everything up. I had to take time out to work my corner so I could keep the lights on in my house.

Anyway, the lights will be on at least till next Tuesday and the site is up. It was a good day.

Best Year Ever 2009
January 01, 2009

As most of you know, I love being social, experiencing new things and capturing all of that on my camera. I've met a lot of interesting people, and had a lot of interesting experiences with all of you. That's why I took some time out to make a video, capturing the essence of 2008, through my eyes (since I seem to be the only sober person over the age of 14). So the people I've met, the friends I have, or anyone else can watch, and realize, that we have had the BEST YEAR EVER! And that next year will be even better.

Anyway, here's the video:
